Go home with the season's ultimate eye-catcher. Whether you choose the flowing textures of the Wave Bag or the timeless look of the Bali/Barcelona Bag: today, you’ll learn how to crochet your very own dream bag.

Nothing is more satisfying than carrying a bag you made yourself. In this workshop, we remove the barriers for beginning crocheters. We focus on our favorite models: the Wave Bag, the Bali, or the Barcelona Bag. These projects are not only fun to crochet but also teach you how to give shape and structure to your work.

Sabine or Violette will be there for you all day. We start with the basics and work step-by-step toward a result you can be proud of. The atmosphere is relaxed, the group is small, and "gezelligheid" (coziness) is key.

What will you learn today?

Morning: The Foundation

• Basic Stitches & Technique: We’ll refresh the basics (chain, single crochet, double crochet) and learn how to tackle the specific stitches for your chosen bag.
• Reading Charts & Patterns: How do you follow a crochet pattern without losing your way? We’ll explain the logic behind the Wave and Bali patterns.
• Shaping: Learn how to crochet a sturdy base and how to make the bag grow beautifully upward.

Afternoon: Getting Started on Your Bag

• Project Launch: Choose your favorite kit (available for purchase on-site) and start crocheting in the color that suits you best.
• Help with the Details: How do you crochet that perfect wave, or ensure the handles have a professional finish? We’re here to help at every step.
• Tips for Home: You’ll receive all the instructions needed to finish your bag at home at your own pace.

What’s included?

• Guidance: 6 hours of personal tips and tricks from Sabine or Violette.
• Culinary: Unlimited coffee, tea, and treats + a delicious lunch (fresh soup & gourmet sandwiches).
• Practice Materials: Use of crochet hooks and practice yarn during the morning instruction.
• Atmosphere: A creative day in our charming studio in Bruges.

What’s not included?

The yarn kit for your bag and the crochet hook are not included and can be purchased on-site.
