Never knitted before, or not in years?

In this 3-hour workshop you learn the basics of knitting in a small group, in our studio in the heart of Bruges. You don't need to bring anything and you don't need any experience. Practice yarn and needles are ready for you, and Sabine and Violette sit right next to you.

Complete beginner?
Then we start at the very beginning: casting on, knit stitch and binding off, using a small project. No pattern you have to decipher on your own, just someone looking over your shoulder the moment it goes wrong.

Already know knit and purl?
Then we pick up where you get stuck: decreasing and increasing, working with different colours, and reading a pattern without it feeling like a washing machine manual.

And the part where most people give up when they're on their own: how to spot a mistake three rows down, and how to fix it without unravelling everything.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know how to knit?

No. We start with the basics: casting on, knit stitch, binding off. If you already know some of it, you simply carry on at your own level.

Do I need to bring my own materials?

No. Practice yarn and needles are ready in the studio. If you want to continue at home, you can buy materials from us.

Will my project be finished by the end of the workshop?

Probably not entirely. You start it during the workshop and get all the guidance you need to finish it at home.

Where does the workshop take place?

In our studio at Boomgaardstraat 7, 8000 Bruges.

What if the date I want is fully booked?

We work in small groups, so places are limited. Let us know and we'll tell you as soon as a new date is added.
